I’ve been working on my co-op for a couple weeks, but this is my first daily update. All my parts are ordered, so right now I’m just trying to learn a lot to prepare for the more hands-on portion of my co-op.
Today I studied soldering/desoldering techniques- practicing for hours on old circuit boards, and watching theory videos. Here is what I watched:
- desoldering using different tools: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZLQzBOOQbw
- how to solder correctly: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SFKYUi3p8zY
- cleaning/re-tinning your iron: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2VlvjdaMARM
I also learned about breadboards (the basics):
- how to use a breadboard: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6WReFkfrUIk
- I took notes from the transcripts of the above video.
I also updated my Google time calendar to make it more accurate and less overwhelming.
Lastly, I learned about the Pomodoro technique and how people accomplish 80 hour work weeks (to help with my schedule, productivity, and peace of mind).
- what is the Pomodoro technique: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pomodoro_Technique
- how to deal with long work weeks: https://www.fastcompany.com/3058175/how-ive-learned-to-get-through-a-100-hour-workweek-in-one-piece
- what does a long work week look like: https://www.quora.com/What-does-a-60-80-hour-work-week-look-like-Im-about-to-dive-into-this-and-Im-not-sure-how-to-tackle-this-How-do-you-break-it-down-especially-as-an-entrepreneur-How-many-breaks-do-you-take-What-are-the-best-hours
